Our Mission

The specific goal of the partnership is to create a sense of awareness and ownership of the drug and alcohol problem by the community and to involve as many citizens, both young and old, as possible to develop and implement solutions.  In this effort, specific emphasis will be placed on five major objectives:

*Achieve reductions in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use and abuse by youth, adults, and seniors.

*Achieve reductions in all drug-related consequences.

*Reduce workplace drug use and abuse.

*Inform, educate, and to use prevention strategies to raise the community's awareness on substance abuse and related issues.

*Be a referral source and clearinghouse for substance abuse and related information.

*Help educate and prevent bullying, both cyber and traditional forms.

Red Ribbon:
Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. Events are held throughout the county to celebrate Red Ribbon. Please let us know if we can help you kick-off your Red Ribbon week!

Prom Promise:

A prom safety program emphasizing the need for sobriety through the use of a mock car crash involving police, ambulance, fire, coroner personnel and other groups.

Skits/Puppet Shows:
For children ages four-eight, we have puppet shows that educate young children on the dangers of alcohol, drugs and tobacco.

While these are the three "majors," they are, no no means, all of the available services. We can bring prevention information to health fairs. We also are happy to take prevention curriculum in schools for children ages seven-18. We often speak to parent organizations, school groups, church groups, law enforcement and community service groups about alcohol, drug and tobacco issues and ways to help fight the underage use problem.

These are just a few of the tasks we are available to do. Please let us know what we can do to help your group today!
